DESCRIPTION:AWAKENING THE ECSTATIC BODY\nTAO AND TANTRA WORKSHOP\nRome\, 14-15-16 February 2020 \nTantra is a way that invites us to awaken the body’s natural ability to be ‘ecstatic’\, to transform and create a spontaneous rhythm of joy and harmony between feminine and masculine energies within our own bodies and with partners. \n“Ecstasy” is a term that is normally ascribed to sexual fulfillment or spiritual bliss. Most of us in the west have grown up in a culture that teaches that sexual fulfillment is ‘sinful’ and spiritual bliss is not possible without renunciation of the body.\nIn exact opposition to this view of life Taoist and Tantric traditions encourage us to live ecstatically through cultivation of our connection with our body and then to ‘embody’ that spirit by bringing this awareness to our daily lives. They tell us that ecstasy is a perfect word to describe the most natural and genuine way humans are meant to live\, that the body is the way to reach fulfillment and bliss and that without our bodies we cannot truly experience ecstasy. \nIn this group we will explore the vitalizing and transformative potential of sacred sexuality in a playful and protected environment.\nWe will flow in a new dimension with ourselves through ancient practices and rituals of Tantric and Taoist traditions:\n. we will return to the wisdom of the body\, reconnecting to the power of the sexual energy\n. we will give and receive healing touch through various styles and rituals of physical connection\, massage and meditation.\n: we will awaken the senses\, deepening sensuality and sensitivity\n. we will activate our potential beyond limits and shame\n. we will celebrate life \nThis event will showcase techniques and rituals designed to help us\, first\, to feel more bodily connected to our senses and\, second\, to celebrate this beautiful\, temporary gift we have been given without shame. We will remind ourselves of the longing and desire that is innate in us to experience ourselves and our world in bold\, new ways and\, eventually\, to embody our love while manifesting our truest selves. \nThe weekend is open to all singles\, couples and partners of whatever style of relationship.
