When you hear the word ‘desire’ what immediately comes to mind?  A sound? A caress? A weekend alone with a good book?!  When you see a beautiful flower do you immediately uproot it from the ground or do you leave it to admire it later?  How about a kiss from your lover?  How do you manage that desire?

In all eastern cultures and philosophic traditions desire is an important theme that must be reckoned with by individuals interested in spiritual evolution. In Buddhism desire is seen as one of the major obstacles in reaching  nirvana. In Taoism desire is a fundamental aspect of a person’s essential nature which must be fully integrated into consciousness. In Tantra desire is seen as a guidepost toward unity with the divine.

Desire is a function of the human heart and its manifestations are as varied as the humans who feel those desires and project them out into the world.  But desire is also a surface, and in Essence of Desire we will explore what jewels of transformation exist below that surface.  We will use movement, massage, sound, meditation, the five senses and especially the sense of touch- Taoist & Tantric massage techniques to engage in a deeper relationship with self and lover.

Osho says: “I have a totally different concept of desire. First, desire itself is God. Desire without any object, desire without being goal-oriented, unmotivated desire, pure desire, is God. The energy called desire is the same energy as God.”

“Desire has not to be destroyed, it has to be purified. Desire has not to be dropped, it has to be transformed. Your very being is desire; to be against it is to be against yourself and against all. “Ecstasy” is a term that is normally ascribed to sexual fulfillment or spiritual bliss.  Most of us in the west have grown up in a culture that teaches that sexual fulfillment is ‘sinful’ and spiritual bliss is not possible without renunciation of the body.

In exact opposition to this view of life Taoist and Tantric traditions encourage us to live ecstatically through cultivation of our connection with our body and then to ‘embody’ that spirit by bringing this awareness to our daily lives.  They tell us that ecstasy is a perfect word to describe the most natural and genuine way humans are meant to live, that the body is the way to reach fulfillment and bliss and that without our bodies we cannot truly experience ecstasy.

Awakening the Ecstatic Body is an exploration of the healing, vitalizing and creative force which often lays dormant within this beautiful and elegant vessel which this human life has gifted us. Ecstasy is alive, pulsing and waiting to be discovered and manifested as our truest personal expression. There is no greater tonic to the human spirit then when sexual energy is connected to the heart!

Humanity is in need of an awakening to its senses!!!

Moreover, Awakening the Ecstatic Body is a journey into the senses.  Our 5 human senses of taste, touch, smell, hearing and seeing can be used as portals to deeper realms of self-knowing and will help to develop our ‘6th sense’ or intuition, which is invaluable when ‘sensing into’ a partner or lover.  The subtle awareness one develops through this work is a kind of ‘qi gong’ which one can continue to evolve in relationships with friends, family and even co-workers after the completion of the workshop.

This event will showcase techniques and rituals designed to help us, first, to feel more bodily connected to our senses and, second, to celebrate this beautiful, temporary gift we have been given without shame.  We will remind ourselves of the longing and desire that is innate in us to experience ourselves and our world in bold, new ways and, eventually, to embody our love while manifesting our truest selves.

Tao and Tantra: Together on the Path of Sacred Sexuality

This weekend workshop is the introductory phase of our couples process work.This will be a weekend of self and mutual (between partner) exploration and energy cultivation with techniques and meditations taken from both traditions. We will celebrate the differences between feminine and masculine sexual energies by learning techniques and rituals designed to balance the flow of energy within the couple and the individual. We will explore the spiritual potential of our sacred union in a safe and fun environment.

Antique Taoist Sexual Practices and Ancient Tantric Rituals are both grounded in the understanding that the body is a sacred vessel. In their own unique ways Taoist and Tantric masters researched, meditated and eventually arrived at the essential truth of the human being as the process of spiritual becoming. Taoist cultivation techniques include various physical and energetic practices, which purify, revitalize and heal past traumas at the individual level.

Tantric rituals and meditations nourish and cultivate the relationship with self, the other and world as the path toward wholeness and unity with the divine. In a joyous and safe environment we work with the feminine and masculine polarities cherished by both Taoist and Tantric traditions.

We explore techniques and rituals derived from both of these paths, simultaneously grounding our experience of the physical world while expanding our level of consciousness, harmony and ecstasy with existence.

Τάο και Τάντρα: Μαζί στο Μονοπάτι της Ιερής Σεξουαλικότητας

Αυτό το διήμερο σεμινάριο είναι η εισαγωγική φάση της διαδικασίας της εργασίας μας με ζευγάρια. Θα δουλέψουμε με τεχνικές αυτό-εξερεύνησης και αλληλο-εξερεύνησης (μεταξύ του ζευγαριού) και καλλιέργειας της ενέργειας με τεχνικές και διαλογισμούς δανεισμένες και από τις δύο παραδόσεις. Θα γιορτάσουμε τις διαφορές μεταξύ της θηλυκής και αρσενικής σεξουαλικής ενέργειας μαθαίνοντας τεχνικές και τελετουργίες που έχουν σχεδιαστεί για να εξισορροπήσουν τη ροή της ενέργειας τόσο του ζευγαριού όσο και του κάθε ατόμου ξεχωριστά.

Στις αρχαίες Ταοϊστικές και Ταντρικές Σεξουαλικές Πρακτικές το Σώμα είναι Ιερό.

Οι Ταοϊστικές τεχνικές καλλιέργειας της ενέργειας περιλαμβάνουν διάφορες φυσικές και ενεργειακές πρακτικές, οι οποίες εξαγνίζουν, αναζωογονούν και θεραπεύουν τραύματα του παρελθόντος. Οι Ταντρικές πρακτικές και διαλογισμοί τρέφουν και καλλιεργούν τη σχέση με τον εαυτό, τον άλλο και τον κόσμο, σαν το μονοπάτι προς την ολότητα και την ένωση με το θεϊκό.

Σε ένα ασφαλές, γεμάτο αγάπη περιβάλλον, εργαζόμαστε με τις θηλυκές και αρσενικές πολικότητες, με τεχνικές προερχόμενες από πολύτιμες Ταοϊστικές και Ταντρικές παραδόσεις. Εξερευνούμε τεχνικές που πηγάζουν και από τα δύο αυτά μονοπάτια, γειώνοντας ταυτοχρόνως την εμπειρία μας στο φυσικό σώμα καθώς διευρύνουμε το επίπεδο της συνειδητότητάς μας και βιώνουμε την αρμονία και την έκσταση της ένωσης με το Σύμπαν.

Compassion, trust, risk, honesty, attraction, eros, union, desire and presence have all been used to describe Love.  One can say that these things are inherent aspects of Love and that Love is larger than Life itself.  In any case, Love is something that requires our full awareness.  In this day long workshop we take a journey into how we express our love, what are our boundaries to giving and receiving love and pleasure, and what it means to BE Love.

Συμπόνια, εμπιστοσύνη, ρίσκο, ειλικρίνεια, έρωτας, έλξη, ένωση, επιθυμία, παρουσία, έχουν όλα χρησιμοποιηθεί για να περιγράψουν την Αγάπη. Μπορεί να πει κάποιος ότι αυτά είναι εγγενείς διαστάσεις της Αγάπης και ότι η Αγάπη είναι κάτι μεγαλύτερο από την ίδια τη Ζωή. Σε κάθε περίπτωση, η Αγάπη είναι κάτι που απαιτεί όλη μας την επίγνωση. Σε αυτό το ολοήμερο σεμινάριο ταξιδεύουμε στον τρόπο με τον οποίο εκφράζουμε την αγάπη, για τον εαυτό και τους άλλους, ανακαλύπτουμε ποιοι είναι οι περιορισμοί μας όταν δίνουμε και λαμβάνουμε αγάπη και ευχαρίστηση, και τι σημαίνει να ΕΙΜΑΙ Αγάπη.

Tantra is… Heart!

In Tantra the heart serves the purpose of unifying human spirit with the material body. As such it is the spiritual center of a human being and therefore a topic of primary importance for anyone seeking self- knowledge and personal integrity.

In this event we will experience the role of the heart in Tantra and in our lives. We will explore what it means to ‘be in the heart’, and how to be present, in love and in intimacy while giving space for our heart to breathe and be. We will also explore the connection between the heart and human sexuality which is a foundational theme in sacred sexuality. A wise man once said: “There is no greater gift than when sexual energy is connected to the heart.”

This event is open to everyone regardless of age, sexual orientation, previous experience with Tantra or any other factor. We remind you that to receive the optimal benefit from this series we call “Tantra is…” you should participate in all as many of these events as possible.

Daoist sexual practices are profound healing techniques that go back thousands of years. They include techniques for harnessing, cultivating and refunding creative, life-force energy to be used in our daily lives, for personal growth and in sacred, loving relationship. Mogadao Sacred Daoist Sexuality is a culture of self-reverence and personal transformation, which has adapted these ancient practices for the modern age.
